1️⃣ What is Telegram Phishing?

Phishing is a cybercrime where attackers pretend to be someone you trust to steal personal or financial information. On Telegram, this is happening through:

  • Fake login links claiming you must “verify” your account

  • Malware files disguised as documents or media

  • Impersonation attacks where your friend’s account has already been hacked

Example: You get a message from a contact:

“Hi! Click here to secure your account: tеlеgrаm-secure.com”
The link looks real but actually takes you to a fake site that steals your password.

  • Family & Friends at Risk – Once one person is hacked, their account can send phishing messages to everyone in their contacts.

3️⃣ How to Spot a Phishing Attempt on Telegram

✅ Check the Link – Real Telegram links are from telegram.org.
❌ Urgency Tricks – “Act now or your account will be deleted” is a scam tactic.
❌ Password Requests – Telegram never asks for your password in chat.
❌ Unexpected Files – Don’t open files from unknown or suspicious sources.

4️⃣ What To Do If You Suspect Phishing

  1. Do NOT Click any suspicious links.

  2. Enable Two-Step Verification in Telegram:

    • Settings → Privacy & Security → Two-Step Verification

  3. Change Your Passwords immediately.

  4. Report suspicious accounts to Telegram.

  5. Inform Your Contacts so they don’t get tricked.

ಮೋಸ ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?

  • ಸಂದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಲಿಂಕ್ ಚೆಕ್ ಮಾಡಿ – ನಿಜವಾದ ಲಿಂಕ್ telegram.org ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

  • ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ಎಂದು ಒತ್ತಡ ಹಾಕುವ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ನಂಬಬೇಡಿ.

  • ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಫೈಲ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಓಪನ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ.

ಜಾಗ್ರತೆ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು:

  1. ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಲಿಂಕ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ.

  3. ಪಾಸ್‌ವರ್ಡ್ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ.

  4. ಶಂಕಾಸ್ಪದ ಖಾತೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಿಪೋರ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಿ.

  5. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿತರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿ.
